Titchmarsh & Goodwin

BRANDING | DESIGN | PHOTOGRAPHY

Titchmarsh & Goodwin, a distinguished furniture maker renowned for their commitment to craftsmanship, quality, and heritage, approached us to help evolve their brand identity.

From their workshop in Ipswich, Titchmarsh & Goodwin has a tradition of excellence since 1920, creating bespoke pieces of furniture that stand the test of time and embody quintessential British elegance. Through meticulous attention to detail, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence, Titchmarsh & Goodwin has revitalised its legacy while laying the foundation for continued success.

Preserving Heritage:

At the heart of the brand identity evolution was a commitment to preserving Titchmarsh & Goodwin’s rich heritage. The discovery of the original hand-drawn logotype, used for carving over a century ago, was a poignant reminder of the brand’s storied history. Building upon this legacy, the brand identity was crafted to honour tradition while embracing contemporary design principles.

Modernisation and Refinement:

Modernising Titchmarsh & Goodwin’s brand identity involved refining the colour palette, typography, and crest to ensure relevance in today’s market. Careful attention was paid to maintaining the essence of craftsmanship and quality that has defined the brand for decades while introducing subtle updates to enhance visual appeal and sophistication.

Capturing Craftsmanship:

We captured the craftsmen and women at work. The dedication and artistry of the cabinet-makers, woodturners, carvers, gilders, and French polishers were brought to life, highlighting the brand’s legacy of handcrafting beautiful wooden furniture.

Future Collaboration:

As Titchmarsh & Goodwin looks to the future, we are excited to continue our collaboration, further refining and expanding upon the brand identity while staying true to its heritage and values.
