ENVIRONMENTAL GRAPHICS | SIGNAGE | DESIGN | MARKETING
Since 2020, we’ve partnered with the University of Suffolk on a range of projects, each one different. When UOS set out to transform the campus experience through better signage and environmental graphics, we were asked to bring a fresh approach to wayfinding that also contributed to the university’s visual identity.
For the new DigiTech Centre, created in partnership with BT, the challenge was to develop a graphic system that communicated innovation, while fitting within the UOS brand. The Centre focuses on fields like Cyber Security, AI and Smart Living, so we took inspiration from digital coding systems and geometric logic.
Using the UOS triangle logo as our starting point, we created a coded alphabet using 256 possible triangle permutations, each representing a letter, number or symbol. This visual language was applied throughout the space.
We worked alongside Hudson Group for high-quality signage execution and with the Student Union to deliver branding for the new campus shop. We continue to work closely with UOS on further signage projects, supporting their ongoing commitment to a cohesive campus environment.
In 2026, we created a student-led direct mailer for the University of Suffolk to help offer holders decide if it was the right university for them and increase conversions. The strategy replaced traditional marketing with authentic student voices gathered through workshops with residents and commuters, highlighting key themes of safety, support and belonging. This insight was shaped into an “advice from a friend” narrative and delivered through a personalised fold-out A5–A2 mailer covering two student journeys, supported by photography, QR-linked video content and a checklist. The design used halftone imagery, bold typography and quotes to create an engaging feel, while the production focused on low-carbon printing, data personalisation and a modular structure for future updates.
