AMPP Studio CIC
BRAND STRATEGY & IDENTITY
When Sarah Nkugwa (Pop Print Studio) and Lucy Horsfield (Rock Paper Scissors CIC) merged their community art initiatives, they came to us to help create a new, unified identity for their creative hub in Ipswich. We took on the project as part of our ongoing commitment to support local not-for-profit, community-led organisations.
Through our discovery process, we clarified AMPP’s vision, audience and position within the wider landscape. From this, we developed a brand identity centred around a lightning bolt hidden within the AMPP typography, a symbol of energy and empowerment. A monochrome palette with neon accents ensures strong visual impact and flexibility across both print and digital platforms.
We created a cohesive visual and verbal identity system, logo, messaging, signage and tone of voice that clearly expresses AMPP’s mission: Art Makes People Powerful.
We also supported the delivery of AMPP’s physical space, collaborating with local sign-writer Wayne Tanswell to bring the identity to life. Sarah and Lucy are now rolling out the brand across social media, educational materials and community events.
This project now forms part of a wider model within our studio, where work like this helps us continue supporting other organisations and initiatives that can benefit from creative direction and design.
“Wendy and Tim don’t just make things look good, they make them mean something. Bold, dynamic, strong and very us. You smashed it!”
